* Infant
Clothing Limit - Consignors will be
allowed up to 30 clothing items per gender
for sizes preemie to 24 months/2T.
Have more than 30 items? Try combining
like items (i.e. 2 tank tops, 2
onesies, 2 pairs of pants, etc.) or make
sets. Please review
Preparing
Your Items for items grouped together.
* New Neutral Rack - We will
have a special rack just for those "gender
neutral" items.
* Note: Please
follow the guidelines for preparing shoes
listed at
Preparing Your Items. During the
Holiday Sale we experimented with zip ties,
but found the tags were easily lost.
Shoes should be placed in zip lock bags,
taped shut with tags attached to the outside
of the bag.
* New Maternity
Guidelines - Please only bring a
maximum of 10 spring/summer items.
Off-season maternity clothing does not sell
well.
* New Pre-Sale Times -
Volunteer Pre-Sale will start at 5:00pm on
Wednesday, March 17. Consignor
Pre-Sale will start at 6:00pm. And,
the Friend Pre-Sale will start at 7:00pm.
We will close the doors at 8:00pm...but let
shoppers shop until they are done!
* Dollar Rack - Clothing
items that do not meet MBC standards can be
added to the "Dollar Rack". These
items will be specially marked and remain
$1.00 throughout the sale. The Dollar
Rack will be displayed when floor/rack space
becomes available. (First priority is
given to items meeting MBC standards.)
During check-in, consignors will indicate
whether or not they would like their
clothing items to go on the Dollar Rack if
MBC finds an imperfection. Consignors
may also indicate special considerations
such as outfits (i.e. the pants have a
stain, but the top is fine). Unsold
items will be returned to the consignor
during pick-up.
* New Large Item Drop-Off Option
- If you have a large item that would be
easier to drop off with extra help (i.e.
your husband), you can bring large items
only on Sunday, March 14 between 3-5pm.
Please indicate you would like to take
advantage of this option when you officially
register for a check-in time slot.
(Examples of large items include cribs or
other bedroom furniture, climbing equipment,
strollers, highchairs, swings, etc.)
* Check-In Procedures
- Consignors will sign up for only one check-in time slot. MBC
staff and volunteers will look over
non-clothing items during your time
slot. Please visit
Check-In Process
for more details!
* New Pick Up Option - A
limited number of consignors may pick up
their items between 3:00-4:00pm on Saturday,
March 20. These consignors will need
to find their own items and will check out
with MBC staff. Items remaining will
be donated. An additional $2.00 will
be subtracted from the consignor's profit
check.
* Play-Clothes for Charity -
MBC will still accept clothing donations for
charity. However, due to the
tremendous response from consignors, the
donations have become too large for MBC to
handle alone. Therefore, MBC will help
sponsor a charity sale next summer!
Please check
Play-Clothes for Charity for more
details!
